Update, 29th April 2020, 10.15am:

Physical distancing outside our stores:

We are overwhelmed with the local support, thank you to everyone who chose Winner Winner yesterday. We are #allinthistogether and continue to ask people use common sense when waiting outside our store, observing a 2m physical distance. This keeps you and us safe - we can cook chicken, trusting our customers are being safe outside. In addition to this, we are implementing the following updates:

  • We will be staggering our online ordering even more, reducing the amount of orders in a 15minute time frame. You may experience delays on our online ordering platform as we have to manually manage this. If you can't make an order immediately, try again a couple of minutes later and the platform should be available. This means less people will be arriving at the store at once.

  • We have Curbside collection available and encourage you to use this platform so you can stay in the safety of your car.

  • We have a 2m distancing box at our collection point. Please observe this.

  • We are working on more markings on the ground outside our stores.

Original statement: Tuesday March 17th, 12 noon

--

As the impact of COVID-19 grows, we think it is important to let you know we continue to be open across the country.

The situation is rapidly changing, but right now we plan to keep our doors open, our rotisseries on and to continue to make fresh salads for you, your family and the wider community  – just with a few more precautions and a double down on safety protocols. We continue to provide quality food and take pride in our health and safety practices. We know that certain situations require us to implement updated procedures, listen to the experts and be nimble so we can continue to cater to our customers. This is one of those situations.

Your needs
We know that you will be relying quite heavily on eating at home or quick pick-up right now. In order to feed your needs, we have implemented the following:

  • We continue to encourage you to order online and pick-up in-store, supporting reduced social contact.

  • Stores are open and will be until further notice. We will promptly inform you, via social media channels or our website, of any changes to opening hours, in-store menu selection or any other changes that may arise.

  • As always, if your experience in-store is anything less than expected, please let our staff in-store know at once.  Otherwise please get in touch with us via email or social media if you have any further questions.

Our stores
Peace of mind and risk mitigation goes a long way, so we have implemented (above and beyond our usual extensive health and safety programme):

  • All stores have sanitiser stations available on entry and on counters.

  • We have reduced front-of-house reusable touch points.

  • All stores have cashless and touchless facilities available.

  • We have doubled the amount of deep cleaning procedures in our stores.

Our staff
Our teams have always taken in pride in offering you the best experience. We consider our people are central to everything we do and as such, have implemented the following to support them during this time:

  • If any team member feels unwell, they will remain at home, and we encourage our customers to do the same. If unsure, please call Healthline on 0800 358 5453.

  • All staff undergo continuous training in adherence with our thorough health and safety protocol and auditing. We have extended this by implementing specific COVID-19 online safety training to all stores.

It goes without saying this is a tricky time for us all. We cannot predict how this situation may progress; we are closely monitoring this in real-time based on the advice the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health are providing. We are reviewing our approach regularly.

Thank you for your continued support.

Our TEAM

Our top priority throughout the change in alert levels and transition to the NZ Government Covid-19 Protection Framework is to continue to keep our customers and staff safe. Our team are well versed in bringing Winner Winner to customers safely and confidently, with strict hygiene protocols in place.

We are applying the following guidance to all staff, in all stores:

  • Have undergone continuous COVID-19 specific online safety training on top of our thorough health and safety e-learning.

  • Will all be required to wear a face mask in both front of house and back of house positions during certain alert level settings. Masks have been made available to all staff.

  • Are required to sanitise surfaces every 15 minutes and thoroughly wash and sanitise hands frequently.

  • Where possible, will be required to follow 1m physical distancing guidelines in kitchens and (where possible) 2m physical distancing when moving through our dining rooms.

  • Our staff will also be sanitising their hands before taking out takeaway orders; and sanitising again when re-entering the kitchen.

  • Are required to stay at home if they are feeling unwell.

  • Will continue to wear freshly washed uniforms for each shift, including aprons.

OUR STORES

Food safety has always been of the highest importance for us. Since the introduction of Alert Level 4 in March 2020, we have added additional processes and training to ensure we are applying new procedures, above and beyond the guidance of the Ministry of Health. • Offer cashless payment only.

  • Contactless digital ordering is available through our table ordering platform for dine-in customers, where possible

  • Dine-in tables and seating will be spaced (or disestablished) 1 metre apart to support appropriate physical distancing.
